Waste
At Bluestone we are committed to implementing a full waste
management strategy to reduce
the amount of waste we produce and to reuse, recover and recycle as
much as possible.
What we have achieved so far;
We are working with local waste companies to recover and recycle
as much waste as possible.
On site, all of our own products will be in reusable, recyclable
or biodegradable packaging,
from biodegradable drinks cups to paper shopping bags.
On site, everyone will be able to recycle;
Glass, Plastic bottles, card, paper, tins, cans
In our offices, we use double sided printing to reduce paper
consumption and we recycle all waste paper, card, toner cartridges
and drinks cans.
We will also be recycling;
Cardboard
Toner Cartridges
Furniture
Vegetable Oil
Plans are already underway to investigate extending our waste
reduction plans to include biodegradable waste that can be
composted or digested to avoid being sent to landfill and we
will
be monitoring how much waste we produce so we can monitor and
measure improvements as we move forward.
