The cost of bringing the Bluestone dream to final reality has
been put at £110m.

Mansford Holdings plc
Established in 1995, Mansford Holdings Plc is a European
multi-strategy real estate private
investment firm owned and controlled by its management. Mansford
invests, manages funds
and acts in an advisory capacity in various real estate and related
sectors. Mansford has four
European offices, in London, Cardiff, Luxembourg and Munich.
Since its formation in 1995, Mansford and its investment partners
have invested directly in income producing properties, real estate
development projects, indirect investments and have managed
structured transactions totaling circa €2.1
billion.
Mansford has a strong track record in Wales, with a Bridgend office
run by Mansford director and shareholder Charles Knight since 1997.
Key projects delivered in Wales include Cardiff’s award-winning
Brewery Quarter, J Shed at Swansea Waterfront, and Salubrious Place
at Wind Street in Swansea.
Sir Edward Dashwood Bt.
The 12th premier baronet of Great Britain. Sir Edward owns the
Slebech Estate, on which Bluestone
is being partly built.

£540 billion, it is the UK's largest mortgage and savings provider
as well as being a major player in the provision of new current
accounts and credit cards in the UK.

The department leads on delivering the economic and transport
agenda, with the aim of creating
a strong and enterprising economy with full employment based on
quality jobs.
Finance Wales
Finance Wales is a wholly owned subsidiary
company of the Welsh Assembly Government which it created to
provide commercial funding to Welsh SMEs. Backed by European
and private sector funding, Finance Wales works closely with a
number of other public sector organisations, banks and private
sector investors. Financial year 2005/06 has been a hugely
successful year for Finance Wales, with record levels of investment
(£21m million) in Welsh businesses, as well as its 1000th
investment
An initial cash funding package of £41m was provided by Mansford
Holdings Plc, William McNamara, Sir Edward Dashwood, and Bank
of Scotland. Pembrokeshire County Council provided a loan of
£1m.
The project will also receive £14.5m in grant aid from the Welsh
Assembly Government and £4m from Finance Wales. This grant aid
makes Bluestone one of the largest public/private funding
collaborations agreed in the UK.
Gambit Corporate Finance acted as lead adviser to Bluestone and
was instrumental in sourcing, structuring and negotiating all the
financial aspects of the project with both public and private
sectors.
