Free-range fun isn’t confined to the great outdoors at Bluestone. The Blue Lagoon water park takes wild adventures to the next level in a temperature-controlled environment that’s great throughout the year.
Step down the indoor beach to the water’s edge before immersing yourself in the pool with its great wave machine, a rapids river ride and two exciting water flumes that exit into the outside elements before returning with a splash into the pool area. If you want to take it easy, follow the lazy river that takes you outside, where you can enjoy the spectacular views from a warm, bubbling outdoor pool. And there are plenty of chances to do things your own way – from spa pools for grown ups to the separate wet play areas for the tiddlers.
While the adventurers explore the water-filled fun in the pirates’ shipwreck Torrwr Mor, the younger ones can enjoy a beach play area complete with sand. You don’t even have to get wet. You can chill on the poolside and read a book in our beach loungers and chairs while sampling some great food and drink from the Fish Shack.
*Additional charge may apply for special events.
You must be 1.1 metres to ride any of the Flumes at the Blue Lagoon. Blue Lagoon is a place where carefree summers and cold winter nights come alive with breathtaking rides, rapid rivers and flumes, relaxing pools and special places just for kids. It‘s a fun-filled, sub-tropical waterpark that guarantees thrilling aqua-adventures.
No trip to Blue Lagoon would be complete without a zoom down a flume, and there are four to choose from. The Falls is an open flume which flows outside then re-enters Blue Lagoon into a plunge pool. The Cannon and The Cave, snake their way outside twisting and turning. The fourth flume, The Torpedo, is fast and steep, probably not for the faint-hearted!
The main feature of Blue Lagoon is the wave pool, with six different wave patterns breaking on to a gently sloping beach. Eight water geysers bubble away near the beach, while a water cannon and two finger sprays propel arcs of water into the pool. There’s also a wave seat, on which to just sit and feel the waves crashing past.
If you want to take it easy, follow the lazy river that takes you to the south-facing patio, accessing the outdoor bubble pool – complete with bubble seat – and relaxing outdoor spa pool.
