Launch Of New Farmhouse Grill Restaurant
Bluestone National Park Resort’s family restaurant in The Yard has been relaunched as ‘The Farmhouse Grill’ after listening to all-important guest feedback.
The changes include a reformatted dining experience – instead of a themed buffet, customers can now enjoy a menu of freshly cooked-to-order dishes with a salad bar where they can help themselves to a selection of fresh salad and breads.
“We’re very excited about the opening of our new and improved restaurant, The Farmhouse Grill.” says Bluestone’s F&B Manager, Neil Hillary. ”It’s hugely important to us to respond to our guests’ opinions and provide them with the best possible break.”
As part of the launch there is also a new head chef in charge, Hywel Ralph. Hywel, whose 20 years of expertise in the kitchen has seen him work all over the UK, including the prestigious St. David’s Hotel & Spa in Cardiff, has returned to Pembrokeshire and been central in the development of the new menu. “The dishes are all freshly made, tried and tested recipes that I know people will love.” Hywel explains.
The Farmhouse Grill will be giving customers a true taste of Pembrokeshire, sourcing most of its ingredients from suppliers in and around the county, including a highly revered Narberth-based butcher, a much-loved Pembrokeshire fishmonger and a host of local ice-cream producers, cheesemakers and greengrocers.
But, what would the chef recommend? “It’s a tough call, because they’re all good eats, but I’d have to say my favourite would be the Chicken and Gammon Ham Tagliatelle. It’s fresh egg pasta and a really tasty, hearty dish.”
Those with a sweet-tooth also won’t be disappointed; dedicated pastry chef Rachel Davies is on hand to whip up a range of delicious desserts such as chocolate and orange torte and ice-cream sundaes – all made to order in the kitchen.
The Farmhouse Grill along with the new menu launched on the 13th June 2014 - view the new menu here.
