We have lots of wonderful people working here at Bluestone – you may already have met them or read about them.
Well, we’re giving them chance to tell you what’s going on here at Bluestone and around us in Pembrokeshire, or what they find interesting at the moment. There’ll be nature updates from Rob Parry from the Wildlife Trusts, who will tell you more about the local birds and beasts, and Martin and Phil might share a few gardening tips, while Terry gives us something to think about with his fascinating insights into local history. Check back when you can and catch up with what’s going on in Bluestone. It’s almost as good as being here.
West Wales has historic ties with Sir Malcolm Campbell and his world-record land-speed attempts with Bluebird at Pendine Sands. The Bluebird Electric car, which set eight UK Electric Land Speed Records including the UK outright record a decade ago, was developed as a test and development vehicle to try differing battery technologies and drive units. The current car has undergone re-engineering for its run this weekend. The aim is to break the 500mph record for an electric car by 2013.
