Beautiful Beaches

No other county in Britain has more Blue Flag Beaches or Seaside Award beaches than Pembrokeshire.

Pembrokeshire people are famously laid back, but if you must start an argument, then a good way is to get us talking about the best beach in Pembrokeshire. That’s because we have so many fantastic beaches here, each with its own character and attributes, so while some people would prefer a remote cove accessible only by a steep and winding path, others favour somewhere more lively, with shops, cafes and facilities within easy reach.

It’s also because we’re passionate about and proud of our beaches. No other county in Britain has more Blue Flag beaches or Seaside Award beaches than Pembrokeshire.

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park beaches awarded a Green Coast Award include Abereiddi, Barafundle, Broad Haven South, Caerfai, Caldy Island, Cwm-yr-Eglwys, Druidston, Freshwater East, Glen Beach, Marloes, Martins Haven, Penally, West Angle, West Dale and Manorbier.

You can find out more information on each of these spectacular locations by having a look at the Beaches map on the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority’s website.

Blue Flag beaches are: Amroth, Broad Haven North, Coppet Hall, Dale, Lydstep, Newgale, Newport, Poppit Sands, Saundersfoot, Tenby Castle, Tenby North, Tenby South and Whitesands.

Our spectacular coastline and the close proximity of so many beautiful beaches is one of the best things about Pembrokeshire life. Given enough free time, you could go to a different beach every day for months, without needing to cross the county line.

So, with over 50 beaches to choose from there’s going to be one that’s perfect for you - whether you want surfing, kayaking or kite surfing, or just want somewhere peaceful.
