Designed to satisfy both parents and children, the festival offers daily kids activities for all ages, indoors and out.
Try our new unique ‘Free Range’ adventures* like samba drumming, coracle racing, street dance and all kinds of messy play for little ones. Or try your hand with woodland survival games or building dams to race your raft downstream!

Messy Play
Jelly! Water! Flour! Paint! And much more. Our extremely popular Messy Play session for both children and adults. Let your child be a child and make a mess freely as you enjoy helping without the hassle of cleaning up.
Hobbit and Fairy Fantasy
A session of pure wonder, voyage to the realm of the Hobbit & Fairy and see their Secret Village. In this mysterious adventure learn about these rare beings and then collect different magical dust to take away and grow your very own Fairy or Hobbit Village. An incredible session keeping the excitable imagination and magic alive.
Knights Combat
Do you have the steel to become a knight at Bluestone, join us on our medieval combat course where you will undergo a series of challenges! If you think you have what it takes to tackle our challenges then you just might have what it takes to become a knight, we will see.
Lantern Workshop
A chance to be creative as a family as you craft an amazing lantern, then experience a new level of excitement and beauty as we float them candlelit on the Bluestone lake as fireworks light the sky.
Pirates the Lost Celtic Gold
"Ooh Aaar me 'Aarties! Barti Ddu, some calls me Black Bart, the greatest Welsh Pirate is calling out to all shipmates to come onboard the adventure to find the lost Celtic Gold.
Bluestone Beast Hunt
Remember when childhood was all about catching bugs? Studying them up close and learning with your hands and eyes? Let the woods become the classroom as you learn first hand with no books or computers to distract you.
Carnival Kite Workshop
Join us in the crazy fun workshop where as a family we design and craft your very own kite, using all the amazing materials and colours to create it. Your imagination can run wild and once everyone's finished, we make our way to the famous Bluestone Hill. As we group at the top, string in your hand and kite in the adults you are ready for the 'Mad Kite Run' where you are ready to showcase your family design as it soars through the sky.
Street Dance
A great session for those who love to dance, and for those who have two left feet but just love to move! Learn some basic manoeuvres and routines from our very own supportive and Street Instructor which could come in very handy for the parade's and shows!!
Samba Drumming Workshop
A foot stomping, body shaking, drum beating Samba workshop! Bring lots of energy and smiles, but don’t worry if your lacking this workshop and your host will have loads to spare! We challenge you to come to this session and leave without a smile and a beat stuck in your head. In this mad session learn a unique drum beat that you can then join in with the parade spectacular and showcase your skills to all.
Carnival Mask Making
Join in with our carnival workshop and be inspired from beginning to end as you create your very own mask/ headdress ready for the parade. With a vast amount of materials to choose from and a variety of methods to implement them, with the help of your adults and the workshop leader you will create something you can wear with pride.
Coracle Racing
Have you mastered Kayaking? Or do you just fancy a little bit of a challenge?Then why not try your hand at the entertaining Coracle Racing! After a bit of one on one attention and guidance as a group you will be ready for the lake. Tackle the Coracles and be viewed as a hero in the family!
Raft Wars (for ages 6+)
Those afraid of a challenge, worried about getting their hair wet and not interested in fun look away now. Divided up into teams you will be given an allowance (plastic money) to bid on lots you need to construct your raft, so as a team you must think carefully about what you need. The race begins and so does the chaos as you battle your way across the lake and back avoiding sabotage and mischief, the first one back and raft unpacked is crowned Legends of the Lake.
Dam Busting
Dam busting is an ex-stream session where you will definitely need your wellies as you wade the length of the flowing river. You will need handy craft skills and teamwork traits to build a raft using materials found in the wood, and finally you must be quick thinking and acting in order to build dam's to cleverly navigate your raft downstream to the safe zone. In this rapid flowing adrenaline infused session you and your team will be challenged, whilst developing great skills in the heart of the forest.
Tribe Night (ages 13 -17 years)
If you are between 13 and 17 why not come and battle with your friends and against other teams in the Adventure Centre in our indoor laser gun sessions. Shoot. duck, dodge and weave your way to victory!
