Blue Lagoon Water Park
Just a short walk from the village, our Blue Lagoon water park
is an astonishing building where visitors can enjoy a wide range of
aqua experiences all in sub-tropical temperatures.
Blue Lagoon produces some of the wildest indoor waves. A rapid
river ride and two enclosed flume rides leave the coracle-shaped
building and bring you back into the main swimming area at pool
level. A lazy river ride also exits the building to a hot lagoon
outside. There are large bubbling hot tubs inside for relaxation
and fun and two interactive wet play areas – one for very young
children, the other for the not-so-young.
Blue Lagoon was inspired by Pembrokeshire’s special marine areas
of conservation and its long nautical heritage. Children are gently
encouraged to consider the importance of conserving and protecting
our marine environment through storytelling.
Inside the pool area there are patios, observation decks
and timber walkways and the temperatures and humidity within the
structure will be maintained at constant levels.
Overlooking the whole complex are wet and dry café and bar
areas, providing good quality healthy
fast food options and refreshments. The Blue Lagoon is heated
through the burning of woodchip,
and energy crops grown by local farmers - making it one of the
largest on-site biomass energy
centres in the UK.
Bluestone guests benefit from
exclusive and complimentary
access to the Blue Lagoon on Tuesdays, Thursdays
and Saturdays between 9am - 12 noon
and complimentary entry at all
other times. Opening times vary.
Please note a minimum height restriction of 1.1m applies to the
flumes.
