If you go down to the woods today you’ll be in for a great surprise. As well as fun and frolics there’s magic in disguise...
A whole range of experiences can be enjoyed at Camp Smokey our rustic woodland diner that is so much more than a gorgeous place to enjoy great barbequed food and marshmallows around a camp fire – it is that of course, and that’s great but within the world of Camp Smokey there is a hidden gold mine to be discovered by our younger guests.
Due to seasonal weather conditions, Camp Smokey will be closed from the 3rd of November until February 2015.
The perfect venue to enjoy delicious smoked dishes all cooked to sizzling perfection right before your eyes and to watch friends and family flying overhead (mostly screaming) on zip wires.
Camp Smokey is an enchanted place to be enjoyed by everybody, not just children – that’s why we have created our new adult only events to be enjoyed as the sun goes down and the young ones go to sleep. Party on into the darkness with live music that’ll get you marching on the table tops.
Enjoy wine tasting, local ales and ciders, and taste some of the best in barbecue food all freshly cooked by our innovative chefs, just out of sight – but you’ll know that food is up from the amazing aromas that fill the air as it collides with the sound of laughter and guitar strings while couples reconnect and friends catch up under the stars.
Quite the entertainer, Smokey Joe also throws his very own shindig full of loud music, wild dancing and foot stomping, loved by kids and parents alike. This all takes place against a back drop of towering pine trees and the mouth watering smells of freshly grilled Pembrokeshire produce.
Smokey Joe – the discoverer of this gold mine has created a regular gold panning slot in order to share his wonderful discovery and ensure that each and every participant gets to leave with their own little nugget of gold, of course you have to work for buried treasure, so our experienced panning guides will teach children how to sieve through the rough in order to find the good stuff.
An afternoon you simply cannot miss set in the heart of the Steep Ravine. Join Smokey Joe on his quirky adventures in his wilderness playground playing woodland games, solving puzzles and learning wacky survival tips! All topped off with a stunning display from plop the owl – a real insight into the great work of Pembrokeshire Falconry.
My personal favourite was visiting Camp Smokey relaxing outside next to a fire to the sound of Cajun music - great stuff
