After Dark Beach Party at The Blue Lagoon
One of Pembrokeshire’s top visitor venues The Blue Lagoon water park is kicking off a new season of activities this Easter holiday – and it all starts with the ‘After Dark’ beach party.
The Blue Lagoon water park near Narberth is going all out to ensure everyone of all ages can enjoy a range of new and specially orientated events, swimming lessons and activities until the Summer.
It all kicks off with the amazing ‘After Dark’ beach party-themed event every night during the Easter, Whitsun and Summer holidays, bringing together music, light effects and just plain all out water fun with the wave machine, water geysers and water cannon.
“It’s going to be a great night with plenty of music, effects and water fun,” said James Mattinson, Leisure Services Manager at Blue Lagoon. “We’ll also have food offers and more for guests to enjoy.”
The night starts with a chill-out with some of the best relaxing music between 6-7pm, along with bubbles, coloured canon spray and a lazy river. Between 7-8pm everything’s ramped up with special effects before everything goes wild between 8-9pm with waves, louder music and even more cannon spray.
Meanwhile, the Blue Lagoon is launching a series of themed events for the whole community to enjoy until the summer holidays. They include a swimming day for local disability groups when carers can gain free entry on Mondays and a special ‘aqua play’ for baby toddler groups on Tuesdays.
Vintage Wednesdays will also open up the venue to the more mature generation who will be able to enjoy a swim, catch up with friends over coffee or just relax pool-side with a book or newspaper.
For the more adventurous, Blue Lagoon is taking the now popular Zumba fitness experience to the next level with Aqua Zumba on Wednesday evenings.
For youngsters wanting to develop their swimming skills, the venue is providing swimming lessons as part of the Amateur Swimming Association’s National Plan for Teaching Swimming. Aimed at three to eight-year-olds the Lagoon Dolphins takes place on Tuesdays between 5-7pm from the 3rd April until the 12th July and again between the 6th September and the 22nd November.
“Learning to swim is vitally important at an early stage and the Lagoon Dolphins is an excellent way for youngsters to get used to the water and develop their swimming skills – whether from scratch or taking it to the next level,” said James..
“We hope the whole community can come and enjoy one of our new activities. There’s literally is something for everyone,” he added.
