Jaws Dive Through Movie Comes To Wales

By Owain Betts Jaws dive through movie Jaws the “dive” through movie comes to Wales – complete with blood red water

Sitting at home on the edge of your sofa clutching a cushion is enough for most people when watching action thriller film Jaws.

But now the famous shark-based movie is to hit the big screen in… a Welsh waterpark, complete with blood red water in March.

Bluestone National Park Resort near Narberth in Pembrokeshire is to host Wales’ first dive through movie, bringing the sea horror/thriller to its Blue Lagoon indoor waterpark.

“We host a lot of musical and interactive events at the Blue Lagoon throughout the year, but we wanted to do something completely different and a “dive through film” seemed like a good idea,” said Yvonne Buckingham, Head of Marketing at Bluestone, “Jaws is perfect. Guests will have the adrenaline fun of the wild waves, blood red water and interactive entertainment all based around a giant film showing the movie. It might even get people swimming that little bit faster.”

The dive through movie event takes place between 6pm and 9pm between 4-7 March at the Blue Lagoon. Guests will also be able to tuck into some fish bites from the Fish Shack.

“We’ve had a lot of interest already. It’s got people talking and we think the whole atmosphere will beat watching this famous shark film in the cinema or at home on the sofa,” added Yvonne.

The film will be beamed on to a giant screen each night while guests can swim around, use the water flumes or just watch it from the indoor beach at the waterpark.

Lifeguards will be on alert throughout the night for any fins seen rising from the pool’s waves.

Access to the dive through movie experience at the Blue Lagoon is from £6.95.
