New year, new job as Pembrokeshire employer embarks on recruitment campaign

One of Pembrokeshire’s largest private employers says 2016 will provide the opportunity for a new job for many as it begins a new recruitment campaign.

Bluestone National Park Resort, which already employs over 500 people at its short break destination near Narberth, will begin a recruitment campaign in January for a range of roles at the business.

“We know many people always look to the new year for a chance to make a change in their life, whether health or career-related,” said Kirsty Albon, HR Manager of Bluestone.

“A high percentage of new year resolutions are about careers and jobs and we’re currently looking to take on people for a range of jobs throughout Bluestone, ranging from chefs to housekeepers, back office to sales, marketing, and activities.”

Bluestone is looking to fill 60 positions and says many are orientated towards people looking to return to work or seeking a change in career direction.

The company, which attracts thousands of visitors into West Wales each year, has seen year-on-year growth which is one reason why it needs to recruit more people in 2016.

“There are people looking to return to work after a career break or having children, or maybe those seeking to change direction and look for a role that is more satisfying and has a chance for development,” added Kirsty.

Bluestone has hosted coffee mornings and other events throughout the area in the past to promote employment opportunities at the resort and will be hosting similar events in the coming months.
