Just as the long nights of autumn begin to descend and Halloween looms on the horizon, a mysterious presence has emerged at Bluestone. In the last few weeks, visitors to the Pembrokeshire resort have noticed an eerie face appear in the ancient slab of Preseli bluestone that overlooks the village.
Television ‘Birdman’ Iolo Williams has helped get a new partnership between Bluestone and the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales off to a flying start. The Trust and Bluestone have worked together in the past, but the partnership marks the start of a new chapter in which the Trust will be undertaking a range of projects aimed at helping deepen Bluestone guests’ understanding of the natural environment.
If you’re at all interested in fishing then a stay at Bluestone in late June will land you a great opportunity to take part in a whole range of events and activities. Fisheries in Pembrokeshire are putting on many special events for this year’s Fish Week, from coaching days to junior championships.
Bluestone is delighted to be sponsoring the showcase concert at this year’s Fishguard Folk Festival. Taking place between May 28th and 31st 2010, this year’s festival will be the eleventh time the seaport town has staged one of the UK’s best traditional music festivals.
