New kitchens are top drawer
SOUTH Wales company Sigma 3 have been awarded
a prestigious £420,000 contract to supply kitchens to Bluestone,
the new short-break destination opening in Pembrokeshire this
summer.
Sigma 3 are supplying 100 walnut kitchens for
Bluestone’s ‘Caldey’ lodges, and 62 Avant kitchens
for the ‘Ramsey’ lodges. Fitting is well underway.
Sigma 3’s brief was to provide high-quality
kitchens with a modern feel. The lodges have an open-plan living
area, so both Bluestone and Sigma 3 felt it important to select
kitchens that would blend in well while also making a
statement.
The kitchen style selected for the Caldey is a
very chic, contemporary design with a beautiful rich
walnut colouring. It has a warm and luxurious feel with a real wood
veneer and subtle, minimal styling. This kitchen is complemented by
the Glacial Storm worksurface, which has an off-white Corian-like
appearance, with co-ordinating upstands and splashback.
The Avant kitchen comes in a sophisticated
combination of Ivory and Cappuccino which blend
together perfectly. This range is contemporary and highly
aspirational, with its smooth, high gloss finish. The doors are
complemented with a neutral Jura Marble laminate worksurface
complete
with matching upstands.
Both types of kitchen are styled to fit in
with modern open-plan living, intentionally avoiding the use of
wall units in order to enhance the open, spacious feel.
High-specification, fully-integrated appliances are included in
each kitchen.
Sigma 3’s Commercial MD, Richard Partridge,
commented: “We are delighted to be associated with such an exciting
and prestigious development. Bluestone is a lovely concept and I’m
sure will soon become one of the country’s most popular new
short-break destinations.
“We are also very pleased to be working with a
fellow Welsh organisation which is, like ourselves, making a
significant contribution to the local economy.”
Bluestone’s Finance Director, Allan
Christopher, said: “We felt Sigma 3 were the right people for us
because we needed high-quality, stylish kitchens to complement our
luxury lodges, and we needed a company with a proven ability to
successfully co-ordinate large-scale projects such as
Bluestone.
“Our guests will have every right to expect
something special, and we’re confident that these
fantastic kitchens fit the bill perfectly.”.
