This Summer at Bluestone
EVERYBODY who’s anybody is coming to Bluestone this summer,
including some
larger-than-life TV stars.
Children’s TV characters Peppa Pig and The Tweenies will be
making special appearances
at Pembrokeshire’s new short-break destination, which opens on June
30.
Peppa Pig will be meeting and greeting her young fans at
intervals on July 25th, while
The Tweenies will be following suit on August 4 and 5.
But the chance for children to see some of their favourite TV
characters is just one of a host of reasons why Bluestone is an
exciting new option for family breaks this summer.
As well as the superb accommodation and exceptional facilities –
including the amazing Blue Lagoon waterpark - there are activities
suitable for young children, older children, and children and
parents together. There are also activities for which no children
are required, whatsoever!
Arts and crafts workshops like Bluestone Bash, Limpets and
Lanterns, and Sculpture Vultures are designed to stir the under
sixes’ creativity and imagination.
For children a little bit older (between five and nine), there’s
the Junior Rangers Club, in which youngsters explore the ancient
woodlands around Bluestone under the guidance of experienced team
leaders, learning about the environment in a fun and exciting way
as they go.
Activities for this age group also include workshops in circus
skills, music-making, model boat-building, and crafts, while more
adventurous youngsters will love an off-road safari in a mini
4X4.
On-site activities for all the family include Wildlife
Detectives, Star Gazers, orienteering, outdoor survival skills,
laser clay shooting and photography. Pembrokeshire is, however, the
ultimate adventure playground, and Bluestone has forged
partnerships with the best local activity providers to compile an
imaginative menu of off-site activities.
There’s something for everyone, from various forms of
adrenaline-fuelled experiences for the more adventurous – like
coasteering, surfing and kayaking - to more cultural excursions and
pastimes for those who prefer the more sedate things in life.
No trip to Bluestone would be complete without a visit to Blue
Lagoon – perhaps the ultimate family playground. The wave pool is
just swell. But Blue Lagoon also features a rapids river ride and
two enclosed flume rides, a lazy river ride, and interactive wet
play areas, one specifically designed for toddlers.
And as if another reason to visit was necessary, a break at
Bluestone now includes
free theme park entry.
Not all quality time has to involve the kids, however. It’s
worth remembering that Bluestone provide
a nanny service, allowing you to go for a romantic meal in one of
our three restaurants or maybe
enjoy a relaxing treatment in The Well, the superb holistic
spa.
After all that re-connecting with the family, you deserve some
time off!
