Autumn at Bluestone

By Megan Tapper Autumn Family

As the days get shorter and the nights draw in the fun just goes on and on - Bluestone has an action-packed itinerary of autumnal fun on the horizon for the coming months. As the leaves turn brown and begin to fall, the brisk breeze of a new season envelops Bluestone National Park Resort in a golden hue of magic. Pembrokeshire at this time of year is a sight to behold; so where better to spend an autumn short break than Bluestone?

Staying in the comfort of luxury five star lodge and cottage accommodation, at Bluestone you’ll be nestled in the heart of the county’s spectacular countryside on a resort that boasts its own village, restaurants, pub, Steep Ravine outdoor activity centre and Blue Lagoon Waterpark; all just a walk from your accommodation.

The half term holidays in October through to November will see the resort turn into a fire festival of fall-time frivolities.

For some great food and fabulous entertainment with a live band, guests can enjoy a foot-stomping, glass-clinking shindig deep in the forest at Camp Smokey, Bluestone’s rustic outdoor dining experience.

Guests can head to the Wild Wood Cafe, to watch King Arthur and his fire-breathing dragon light up children’s imaginations. With tasty food and interactive games, the evening ends with a spectacular parade through the village with fire-dancers, braziers and awesome firework displays.

With October comes pumpkins, ghosts and ghouls as the Halloween celebrations kick-off at Bluestone.  Wild Wood cafe hosts a Monsters Ball where families can party in their fancy dress outfits and enjoy an evening of sweet treat scoffing, doughnut swinging, apple-bobbing, mummy-making madness.

Blue Lagoon Waterpark transforms into freaky, scary house of horrors as Spooky Splash returns. For four creepy evenings from Wednesday 29th October to Saturday 1st November, the waterpark goes Halloween themed. The water turns blood red, the poolside becomes haunted with monsters and ghouls and the fun, games, lights and music make Spooky Splash an evening to remember.

With over 100 free-range activities to choose from, you’ll be able to find your wild thing and have a truly memorable autumn short break, whatever you choose to do.
