Are you looking to conjure up some tasty treats for Halloween? Why not have a go at these spooktacularly easy rice crispy cakes; you have to admit they look frightfully good!

You will need:
  • 40g melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Orange gel food colouring or a mix of yellow and red if you can’t find any
  • 400g of Rice Krispies
  • 300g mini marshmallows
  • Matchmakers
How to make:

1. In a large saucepan melt the butter on a medium heat.

2. Then add the vanilla extract and marshmallows.

3. Stir until the marshmallows are completely melted.

4. Add the food colouring until a pumpkin colour is achieved.

5. Add the cereal and stir until it is completely combined.

6. Turn off the heat and leave the mixture to cool.

7. When it is cool enough to handle roll the cereal mix into balls.

8. Then cut the matchmakers into 2 cm sections and place them into the tops of the crispy pumpkins.
