Make your own Christmas Wreath

By Kristina Gore Wreath

It’s here.... it’s finally here! Kingdom of the Elves is back at Bluestone and we’d love to spread the Christmas cheer. If you’re not on resort at the moment, you can still join in the Christmas spirit with our festive Christmas Crafts.

Let’s make a Christmas Pompom Wreath!

What you’ll need:

  • Cardboard
  • Scissors
  • A compass
  • Wool
  • Wire wreath frame (available from craft stores)

How to make it:

Step 1:

First, decide how big you’d like your pompoms to be. Using the compass, draw two circles of that size onto the cardboard and then draw another smaller circle on the inside of each.

Step 2:

Cut out the stencils you have just drawn so you are left with two “donut” shapes.

Step 1

Step 3:

Place the stencils one on top of the other and wind your wool around them. Top Tip! Don't worry if your wool comes to an end, you can always add more by tying the end with another piece of wool. (You can even introduce more colours this way if you would like your pompoms to be more than one colour!)

Step 2

Step 4:

Once your stencil is full of wool, grab your scissors and cut through the wool between the two stencils.

Step 3

Step 5:

Tie a new piece of wool between the two stencils to hold the pompom together. Ensure that you leave enough wool at the end so you can tie the pompom on to the wreath frame.

Step 4

Step 6:

Remove the stencil and repeat the process until you have enough pompoms to fill your wreath.

Step 7:

Tie your pompoms onto your wreath frame, arranging them in whatever pattern you would like.

Step 5

Step 8:

Hang your completed wreath and await compliments from everyone who knocks on your door!
