Here at Bluestone we’re having a big recruitment drive in the New Year, seeking to fill 50 full and part-time positions.

There’ll be roles in a wide range of departments in the company as we prepare for another busy year – vacancies include chefs, front of house, activities instructors, spa therapists and housekeepers.

Debbie Rainbow, HR Director at Bluestone, said:

Bluestone is one of the biggest employers in Pembrokeshire, recruiting 90 per cent of the workforce from within a 30 mile radius of the park.

Since opening in 2008 our resort has gone from strength to strength, welcoming thousands of guests a year and this continued success and popularity is down to our hardworking and dedicated workforce, many of whom have been with the company since the very start.

Take for example, Deborah Llewellyn from Fishguard who joined the company in 2008 as a salesperson.  She later moved to the security department where she continued to progress and has since won Employee of the Year Award for 2014.

She said: “It meant so much to me to win Employee of the Year. I have fantastic colleagues and get to meet new people every day. One of the things I love most is being able to share my home of Pembrokeshire with our thousands of guests.”

And it’s not just Deborah who has climbed the career ladder at the five star national park resort.

Delma Lo, from Pembroke Dock, started working for Bluestone in 2008 as a housekeeper, cleaning the offices on resort. Since then, she’s progressed to supervisor and in 2012 became Linen Manager.

Delma said: “Looking after the housekeeping needs of our resort and its 280 lodges has its challenges, but this job keeps me on my toes and I’ve learnt a lot along the way. I work with an amazing bunch of people – I couldn’t do it without them!”

Bluestone can count firefighters, rally drivers, former servicemen, Ironman athletes, pop stars and yoga teachers in its repertoire of interesting and unique employees.

Consistently developing as a business and welcoming more and more visitors each year, Bluestone’s demand for staff members has continued to grow.
