Snatch and Whitechapel Stars Take Family Break

British acting couple Stephen Graham and Hannah Walters took a break from their hectic film and television recordings to catch some quality time with their family at Bluestone National Park Resort in Pembrokeshire.

Stephen, who starred in hit films Snatch and This Is England, and Hannah, who’s currently appearing in ITV drama Whitechapel, chose Bluestone amid their busy schedule for some quality family time.

Stephen is currently filming a drama with Sean Bean and will begin shooting a new series of Boardwalk Empire in the next few months in which he stars as Al Capone.

“We’d heard about Bluestone and just wanted to see it for ourselves,” said Stephen. “We needed somewhere for us and the kids to enjoy and Bluestone was perfect. The accommodation was top notch and the range of activities was just great for us all.”

“It’s difficult for us to get away as a family and have something that everyone wants to do. Bluestone was perfect for all the right reasons and the kids particularly loved climbing into the treetops at the Steep Ravine as well as driving the mini 4x4s.

“As for Hannah and I, well we loved the Well Spa and the food in the Carreg Las restaurant was out of this world. We’ll definitely be coming back,” he added.

The family enjoyed the privacy of Bluestone while taking part in all-weather activities throughout the 500 acres of countryside, including visiting the Blue Lagoon water park, the indoor Adventure Centre, and sampling the Tavern pub and other shops, restaurants and attractions in and around Bluestone’s very own village.

Hannah, who plays DC Megan Riley in ITV’s Whitechapel alongside Rupert Penry-Jones, added: “We loved our time at Bluestone. The staff were great as was the accommodation. As for Carreg Las and the Well Spa – Out of this world and should be shouted about from the hills that surround the wonderful Bluestone.”

All A Quiver For Robin Hood Filming

Tomorrow, Ridley Scott’s version of Robin Hood goes on cinema release, and while anything by the man who helmed Alien, Blade Runner and Gladiator is eagerly anticipated by film fans, his latest offering is of particular interest to us Pembrokeshire types.

That’s because it was partly shot in the county, at one of our most beautiful beaches, Freshwater West, to be precise, about a half-hour’s drive from Bluestone.
