Summer Heatwave

By Harriet Scoot Sandcastle on Tenby South Beach

It’s that time of year again... everyone is getting excited about their summer holidays, making that all important choice of where to spend a week (or two!) away with the family, and of course, anxiously checking the long term weather forecast to see what the weather is going to be like.

We all know that the weather forecasts are notoriously unreliable, and we really shouldn’t trust them, but that’s easier said than done, right?

Well, we’ve got good news, the forecasters are extremely optimistic for the Summer of 2016! According to the Daily Mail, the Mirror, and the Express, we’re in for the hottest Summer for 40 years! If all 3 say it’s true, who are we to disagree! Everyone is suggesting that temperatures will be even greater than 1976, the hottest Summer since records began, which means we could hit a staggering 36 degrees Celsius!

But on the other hand, where’s the fun in planning every little detail? Enjoy the sun if it comes, have BBQ’s, spend long days at the beach and try all the different ice cream flavours from Tŷ Coffi. And if not, there’s always Blue Lagoon to splash around in, or the Adventure Centre for Free Range Fun whatever the weather! But we still firmly believe there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes!

So pack your sun cream, flip flops and beach wear, as well as your wellies and waterproofs, and head West to enjoy summer, no matter what the weather decides to do!
