Summer Holiday Survival Guide

The summer holidays are the perfect time to plan some family fun but with six whole weeks to keep the kids entertained over summer, it can also be a daunting time for parents.

Don't worry Mums and Dads; here are our top tips to help you survive the summer holidays!

1. Planning is Key

Plan your day trips in advance and have indoor activities on hand for days when the weather isn’t as nice. A good plan will save you time and will keep the kids happy with exciting things to look forward to.

2. Share Childcare

Offer to take care of your friends’ children. Your little ones will have someone to play with and your friends will return the favour.

3. Fun Begins at Home

Take what you’ve experienced at Bluestone and create your own Free Range Fun at home. Why not try camping, toasting marshmallows and exploring nature in your own garden?

4. Be Thrifty

Search the web for vouchers and redeem any club card points in exchange for attraction tickets. There’s an endless list of attractions in Pembrokeshire so it’s always worth checking!

5. Dining Al Fresco

Take advantage of the nice weather. Plan Picnics, have barbecues or simply take your dinner outside. If you're staying at Bluestone this summer, a visit to our newly-expanded Camp Smokey is a must!

6. Get to know your neighbours

Look out for local community groups who run inclusive activities. Your little ones will keep themselves entertained, leaving you to catch up on some adult conversation with the other parents.

7. Join us for our summer festival

There's so much happening at Bluestone this summer, the resort will be bursting with Free Range Family Fun! With outdoor activities galore, dinner shows, a summer parade and our spectacular Green Man Festival; we have everything you need to make this summer spectacular.
