2017 was a great year for the Bluestone Foundation; here are just some of our highlights...

We cycled 500km from Vietnam to Cambodia raising £17,745!

The inaugural Bluestone Foundation Football League was organised!

Guests got the dancing shoes for a special ‘Strictly’ themed Butterfly Ball in July and raised £8500!

In fact we raised over £44,050 in total from our various fundraisers!

We volunteered at events around Pembrokeshire including the Lawrenny Fish Festival, and the Long Course Weekend!

We supported over 350 local raffles and fundraisers, and gave a total of £38,358 in grants to various Pembrokeshire groups and charities including:

• The Tanyard in Pembroke Dock’s funding allowed them to secure an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) Youth Outreach Worker.

• PATCH put their money towards the purchase of a chilled vehicle to collect and deliver donations of fresh food around the county.

• Pembrokeshire People First applied for funding so that they could provide a document translation service for those with learning difficulties. In addition to this it will allow the purchase of equipment, software and training to develop an online “Easy Read Photo Shop”.

• The Hawthorne Project in Haverfordwest (Part of Action for Children) applied for assistance with the start up costs for a coffee shop at Haverfordwest Magistrates Courts. The project will provide disabled young people with training opportunities and work experience.

• The Fishguard Sea Cadet Unit received support in the purchasing of an additional Yole boat for the club. This would expand the organisation’s ability to accommodate more young people in the sport of sliding seat rowing.

• The Paul Sartori Foundation which offers Pembrokeshire’s only Hospice at Home Service was established for those with a life limiting illness, received a donation to help them to develop an online sales site to support their Pembrokeshire stores.

The Bluestone Foundation was set up in 2010 with the aim of helping people to help themselves through environmental, economic and social projects in Pembrokeshire and the surrounding areas.
