Women in Wales Luncheon

By Kathryn Slade Women In Wales

Bluestone National Park Resort is proud to be the headline sponsor of this year’s Women in Wales luncheon which is being held today in Cardiff. Every year more than 450 women attend the luncheon which celebrates the contribution that women make to business, medicine, charities, the arts and much more which are based in Wales. This year’s theme is a Royal Celebration to honour the Queen’s 90th Birthday.

Women In Wales Venue

Women in Wales, is a registered charity run by a voluntary committee. Since their first luncheon in 1992 the event has raised more than £800,000 which has been donated to their chosen charity Save the Children. The profit raised at the 2016 Luncheon will be donated to Save the Children to help to fund projects in Wales such as Eat, Sleep, Learn, Play – a grant programme designed to support children and families in the most desperate need and Families and Schools Together – an award-winning parental engagement programme.

As a company we strive to be a place where children of all ages can explore and get back to nature in beautiful surroundings. Like the projects that this year’s lunch will support we understand the importance of family time and how it can impact on children’s developments. Here we believe in free range fun and bringing nature and adventure within reach of children. We hope to encourage children to learn and care about their natural environment around them. For some children a trip to Bluestone is a chance to experiencing a new stomping ground filled with greenery for the first time. It can be the first chance to learn about the coast and feel the sand between their toes too. Here’s to Free Range Kids raised by Free Range Adults!
