Reopening: What's Happening On Resort?

Our beautiful resort is a place for families, friends, and loved ones to enjoy spending time together.

In our world of a "new normal" there have been some changes made and measures introduced to make sure we all enjoy ourselves, safely.

Health and Safety Measures

We will be asking all guests to maintain social distancing when they are on resort, as they would when outside it. It remains a regulatory requirement and we’ll be putting up friendly reminders in the form of notice boards, floor markings and other indicators, to help.

As ever, this is an everchanging situation and we’ll do our best to keep guests up-to-date when we have guidance from the Welsh Government regarding specific areas of resort. It is important that guests also stay up-to-date with the latest information and guidance.

For those on resort, Guest Services can offer you help or assistance on any areas you are unsure about.

Changes on Resort

Face Coverings

In line with Welsh Government legislation, face coverings are required to be worn by all guests age over 11 in indoor areas (those under 11 and exempt for health reasons are excluded). We encourage all our guests to carry face coverings at all times, in case they are needed, and continue to follow all social distancing and enhanced hygiene measures.

Areas where face covers will be required:

• The Booking Office, Village
• Newton Stores, Village
• All retail outlets: Giftorium, Emporium, and Wave Shop
• Tŷ Coffi
• The Chippy
• The Serendome (advised in all areas, unless seated for food)
• The Oak Tree Restaurant (unless seated)
• The Farmhouse Bar and Grill (unless seated)
• The Knight’s Tavern (unless seated)
• The Blue Lagoon Water Park: Guests will have to wear masks upon entering the building and while getting changed. Masks can be removed once guests get to the locker

It is not necessary for face coverings to be worn at our outdoor restaurant Camp Smokey.
The health and wellbeing of our guests and staff remains our utmost priority and we continually review our procedures in place across the resort. We would advise guests to keep face coverings with them at all times in case they are needed.

Children under 11 and visitors with certain health conditions that prevent the wearing of face coverings are exempt from these measures.

Groups of Six

In line with Welsh Government legislation, indoor groups can include up to six people over the age of 11.

The Land Train

Unfortunately the Land Train is not be running, due to guidance around public transport in Wales. But, don't worry! You can still easily get around resort by bike and buggies, which are available for hire.

Card Payments

We won't be accepting cash on resort during your stay. All transactions will be done via card payment and please be aware that there are no longer cash machines on the resort.

Day Guests

So we can monitor who is on resort, and ensure adequate social distancing, we will not be permitting day visitors to Bluestone until further notice.

Access to Resort

Guests will still be able to arrive on resort from 11am on arrival day and stay until 3pm on departure day. This, as with all our measures, will be monitored and may be subject to change.

Free Play Areas

Our free play areas are especially important to us as they encourage independent play and we know they are a favourite with our little guests. We are pleased to say our play areas in Serendome and the Village are open, however there are some changes to fit with restrictions. They will also be subject to new health and safety measures, and include the following:

- Set opening times for each area, with a staff member monitoring the area and cleaning the play kit (9am to 9pm)

- One-way system in and out of the play area

- Maximum numbers set for use

- Hand sanitiser stations set up at the entrance, with anyone who enters requiring to sanitise their hands first

- An Adult must supervise children at all times
