More than half of adults feel too guilty for me time

According to a recent survey conducted by The Well Spa Retreat at Bluestone National Park Resort, 68% of people said they’d like to visit a spa but would feel guilty about taking the time for themselves.

However, research by the NHS has shown that the UK workforce works the longest hours in Europe and that taking time out for oneself to relax, socialise and do things you enjoy is proven to alleviate stress. This prompts the question - why not take more me-time?

Launching in November and available in 2015, Bluestone’s The Well Spa Retreat presents a new offering that’s the pinnacle of luxury – introducing, The Retreat Break. A perfect opportunity to top up on the much-needed me-time that many with busy lifestyles neglect to take.

A spa break like no other, guests arrive at the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park for a four-night stay of relaxation and luxury where it’s ‘All About You’. On a Retreat Break, guests will have a personal, one-to-one consultation with an expertly trained spa therapist to ascertain their specific needs in order to get the very best out of their spa experience.

Following this, the therapist will be able to devise and deliver a bespoke and truly individual choice of treatments that are perfect for you. Deeply relaxed, energised, rejuvenated – however you want to feel, our therapists will select the ideal treatment from our extensive brochure to leave you feeling ready to take on 2015.

Yvonne Lavis, manager of The Well Spa Retreat, says: “Our new Retreat Breaks have been developed to provide the perfect restful haven where guests can re-charge their batteries and leave feeling de-stressed and refreshed. At The Well Spa, we believe everyone should have a little me time – and it’s certainly nothing to feel guilty about.”

Need to limber up and re-energize? The Retreat Breaks include a 1-to-1 yoga session to balance mind, body, and soul and bring about a true sense of spiritual relaxation. You’ll also experience a 1-to-1 consultation with Health Detective, Gitti Coats. Using complementary therapy and natural medicine, Gitti will be able to talk through any personal ailments you may be experiencing and advise you on how to feel happier and healthier.

Each day of the break guests will enjoy a sumptuous breakfast, a delicious, healthy lunch at Caffi Mor, and dinner in our restaurants. This includes two exquisite dining experiences at Carreg Las – Bluestone’s finest restaurant where there’s a real taste of Pembrokeshire on the menu.

Guests will be free to make themselves at home in the beautifully appointed spa and pop on a fluffy white robe for the Celtic Spa Experience in the luxurious thermal suite. The therapeutic benefits of the sauna, steam room, ice pod, and hydro vitality pool will lead guests into the new year feeling like a new person - cleansed, detoxed, and refreshed.

Staying in a luxury five-star studio apartment, guests will be located in the heart of Bluestone – The Village. Surrounded by 500 acres of picturesque national parkland, with the tranquil lake and The Well Spa Retreat just a short walk away, guests can take it easy and immerse themselves in relaxation, Pembrokeshire fresh air, and ‘me time’ on a Retreat Break. (Retreat Break is £599 per person for a midweek four-night stay).
