Storybook Reading World Record Attempt

Once upon a time, there was a world record attempt for the largest bedtime story… Hundreds of people will be taking part in an official Guinness World Record attempt at the inaugural Pembrokeshire Children’s Book Festival at Bluestone National Park Resort, near Narberth this October.

Organiser’s are hoping as many people as possible will join in the attempt on Wednesday, 30th October – the first day of the book festival - with adults and children reading a chapter from a bedtime story. Guinness World Records will validate the record attempt which will see guests staying at the luxury short break holiday destination take part in the challenge as part of the book festival.

“Children and adults love reading bedtime stories and we thought that as we’ll have so many families staying during the October half-term for the book festival we should try and do something unique and engaging,” said Pamela Joseph, Commercial Director at Bluestone.

“The record will be established if enough people record that they have attempted the challenge and will enter the record books as a brand new Guinness World Record.”
