Top awards for Bluestones Well Spa Retreat team

Therapists from one of Pembrokeshire’s award-winning top spas have been recognised for their outstanding work after scooping awards at the HB Training Awards.

Members of the Well Spa Retreat at Bluestone National Park Resort near Narberth were shortlisted for five awards at the ceremony, taking away two of the categories. A gala dinner and ceremony held at Wolfscastle Country Hotel last Sunday saw two therapists from the luxury short break destination rewarded.

It comes after the spa was relaunched in January with a new range of holistic breaks in front of guests including Swansea City Manager Gary Monk and BAFTA Cymru award-winning actress Sara Lloyd Gregory. It was also named the Wales Spa of the Year at the UK Good Spa Guide Awards held in London.

Samantha Hewer was named Apprentice Beauty Therapist of the Year while Katy Waters was awarded the Beauty Therapy Dedicated Achiever of the Year Award. “It’s great to have our spa and team recognised for their outstanding work within the health and beauty sector here in Pembrokeshire,” said Pamela McNamara, Commercial Director at Bluestone and who oversaw the relaunch of the spa earlier this year.

“It comes just months after we were named the Wales Spa of the Year at the prestigious Good Spa Guide Awards and on the back of numerous reviews complimenting the range and high standards we hold at the spa.”

Bluestone launched a range of new holistic spa breaks and packages earlier this as part of a refurbishment at the spa which sits within the village at Bluestone.
