Secluded Shores

Sandy shores aren’t just for the summertime. In fact, quieter beaches during the autumn months make for much room to explore, roam and play! With the water still warm after being bathed in the summer sun, it’s still prime time for a splash and a swim. Here in Pembrokeshire, we’re lucky to be home to over 80 beaches, with 10 being awarded Blue Flag status. That means there’s endless options for family fun down by the seaside in Pembrokeshire over the autumn.

Getting Out on the Water

With the water still warm the autumn is the perfect time for a family trip out onto the water. Whether that’s exploring the nooks and crannies of the Cleddau on a River Adventure Day, to scrambling over the Pembrokeshire coast on a coasteering trip, Pembrokeshire offers many ways to explore and enjoy its waters. Take a trip out further into the deep blue on a Boat Tour for a relaxed excursion, or even venture under the waves on a Celtic Deep Expedition when on a autumn Bluestone break.

A walk among nature

Surrounding Bluestone and sweeping out through Pembrokeshire are acres upon acres of ancient woodland and stunning countryside. Sprawling through this natural beauty are miles of nature trails to be explored and discovered. We’re lucky that here at Bluestone we have beautiful National Park walks through Canaston and Minwear Woods right on our doorstep. Not only that we have our very own Nature Trail winding through the ancient woodland on resort, complete with towering trees and babbling brook.

Free Range Foraging

After a sunshine summer the hedgerows here on resort are bursting with colour and flavour. During the autumn a bounty of berries, nuts and fruit are ready and ripe after a summer under the sun. With a pair of gloves to keep fingers safe and clean and some pictures of the fruit that’s safe and tasty, head out and explore the resort and pick with your little ones. Remember though that what you're foraging is also food for the wildlife that visit and make their home at Bluestone as well. So, make sure to leave enough for their dinner as well! Then it’s time to head back to your lodge to rustle up some tasty treats with what you’ve found.

The Bwbach Festival

At Bluestone things get spooky and kooky as the Bwbach Festival bursts into life! The resort is taken over by a troupe of friendly scarecrows, the Bwbach, and is transformed into a hub of harvest havoc! At the Cloud Theatre the spectacular Pumpkin Lab show pops, bangs and delights, whilst aspiring mad scientists concoct experiments at the Spooky Science Workshop. There’s also the chance to get creative with Pumpkin Carving and the Bird Box Workshop, before the big blowout at the Harvest Party. Experience it all with your family at the Bwbach Festival at Bluestone this autumn!
