Bluestone Resort join the WRPA as Official Holiday Destination partner!
The Welsh Rugby Players Association (WRPA) and Bluestone Resort have today announced a new partnership which sees Bluestone join as The Official Holiday Destination of the WRPA. This new exciting partnership will see both proud Welsh organisations working closely to help support the continued professional development of our professional rugby players in Wales, while championing our nation’s culture.
Bluestone National Park Resort is a luxury holiday resort nestled in the heart of Pembrokeshire. With 500 acres of rolling countryside, it’s the perfect place for an escape with family and friends for adventures on the resort and around the coast.
Bluestone National Park Resort opened its doors in 2008, with over 360 lodges, a Water Park, activities for the whole family, a range of restaurants and The Serendome - with its undercover activities and Cloud Theatre. The resort also boasts an award-winning Well Spa with a great range of treatments, a thermal suite, with traditional saunas and steam rooms and a rooftop Hydrotherapy Pool.
Bluestone is a family owned and run business in the heart of Wales, with an ethos of bringing Free Range Fun to its guests.
The WRPA are pleased to welcome Bluestone Resort to our organisation, proudly giving our members the space to reconnect with their loved ones, making those special memories which last a lifetime.
The partnership comes after many of our members have experienced the second to none stays at Bluestone Resort, providing WRPA members with exceptional, unique and special memories.
On the new partnership, Barry Cawte CEO said: “In a time where the pandemic has made holidaying difficult and restrictions see many families go through challenging times, it’s great to be supported by such a strong home-grown organisation. As we all emerge out of COVID-19, we’re championing the future of these opportunities, we give thanks for Bluestone and the support they offer to our members.”
"We are the representative body, and collective voice of professional rugby players in Wales, and it’s important that we continue to grow our network of organisations that can help protect, develop and promote our members.”
Philippa Hearnden, Head of Business at the WRPA noted “It’s great to finally announce this partnership with Bluestone Resort and recognise the amazing role they play in supporting our members in not only their rest and recovery, but really making the most of the family time their busy schedules allow. Bluestone Resort champions Welsh culture and heritage, and we’re proud to be supported by an organisation with such a strong ethos in showcasing the country which our members devote their lives to represent. As our Official Holiday Destination, I’m excited to see this partnership grow!”
James King, Chairman of the WRPA, who has visited Bluestone Resort commented; “We were blown away by our recent visit. Albeit in a pandemic, the resort catered for our family's needs, and we had an amazing time together enjoying everything that Bluestone has to offer. Our little boy loved the activities such as ‘Wacky Races’ and ‘Sky Walk’, plus we got to take up the much-appreciated opportunity to eat out via the resorts takeaway restaurants and bars, and after a year of eating in and making our own dinner every night, it was an absolute treat. I’m delighted that the WRPA and Bluestone have created this partnership and I look forward to our next visit there.”
Pamela McNamara, Bluestone’s Commercial Director said, “We’re so pleased to be able to announce this exciting new partnership. Rugby is engrained in Welsh culture, and we’re proud to be the Official Holiday Destination for the WRPA. Our ethos at our Pembrokeshire resort, means we like to make the most of every moment we get to spend with our loved ones. We can’t wait to welcome the players and their families so that we can share these special times with them and help them to make the most of their rest and recovery time."
