Water Refill Campaign

Bottled water is no longer sold anywhere at the resort, as we encourage you to refill, reuse and repeat! Find out more about our refill campaign and how it will impact your break. 

Why we're removing single-use plastic water bottles?

The decision to removed all plastic bottled water from the sale is part of a long-term sustainability drive. It’s estimated that this will prevent 25,000 plastic bottles from being used each year; instead, guests are encouraged to prepare for their visit by packing a reusable water bottle and filling it up for free. Reusable water bottles are also available to purchase from Newton Stores if needed.

 

Where are the refill stations? 

There are refill stations located if different places around the resort:

• The Village (by Booking Office)
• Serendome (three in place across the Serendome)
• The Blue Lagoon Water Park
• The HIVE - In the NRG lab

• Reusable water bottles are available to purchase from Newton Stores if needed.
• Guests are offered a 10% discount on hot drinks if they bring a reusable cup to any of the resort’s outlets instead of asking for a takeaway cup.
• Visitors can download the ‘Refill’ app, which allows them to search for the refill stations across the resort, as well as hundreds of tap water Refill stations around Wales when they are out and about. Refill Wales is part-funded by the Welsh Government to increase the availability of high-quality drinking water throughout the country.
• At Bluestone, around 60% of the tap water comes from a natural bore hole – providing high-quality, natural drinking water which is free for staff and guests. The water is tested regularly and all refill stations are rigorously cleaned and checked throughout the day.
