Horse riding is an incredible popular past time in Pembrokeshire. There are 116 miles of public bridleways in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park alone, maintaining and improving the bridleway portfolio is a matter of high priority to the National Park Authority. There are many riding stables around both the coast and inland where you can experience the sport for yourself!

A selection of these are;

  • Crosswell Riding Stables; nestled in Crymych, in the Preseli Hills, 01239891262
  • Bowling’s Riding School; located in 350 acres of woodland in Haverfordwest. 01437741407
  • Nolton Stables; Haverfordwest,, 01437710360

Some of the team have lucky enough to visit Marros Riding Centre around 14 miles from Bluestone. You may have seen their talented horses and riders in some of our recent TV adverts. The centre is located between Amroth and Pendine, and has over 40 licensed horses and ponies to suit all abilities, they also have both indoor and outdoor facilities so there’s something to enjoy whatever the weather! They cater for riders for all abilities, from those who have never sat on horseback before to those who are experienced riders. Two of the marketing team have ridden here on two different occasions, once on a riding lesson and trek, and secondly on one of the infamous beach rides.
