Blue Lagoon Water Park
Visit the wonderful Blue Lagoon Water Park, for a splashing time! On this page, you'll be able to find out everything you need to know about your swim: opening times, advice regarding peak periods and the health and safety measures in place.
No pre-booking required - However, During extremely busy periods, we may have to implement use of our band system, which will restrict swimming to two-hour time slots*
To help you decide when to swim, we've outlined our busiest and quietest periods:
- 9:00am - 10:00am - Medium / steady flowing queue
- 10:00am -1:00pm - High capacity / busy / queues expected
- 1:00pm - 4:00pm – Intermediate / queues expected
- 4:00pm - 5:00pm – Medium / steady flowing queue

Sunflower Hour:
‘Sunflower hour’ in the Blue Lagoon provides a welcoming environment tailored to guests with hidden disabilities. During this hour, special considerations and accommodations will be in place to ensure that every visitor feels supported and valued. From subtle adjustments in noise to increased staff awareness and assistance, the aim is to create a safe and comfortable space where all individuals can enjoy their experience to the fullest. During these times, we will operate at limited capacity.
Whistles will be used instead of sirens to signal the waves.
- Monday to Wednesday: 4:00pm - 5:00pm
- Thursday: 9:00am - 10:00am
- Friday and Saturday: 4:00pm - 5:00pm
- Sunday: 9:00am - 10:00am

Health and Safety Measures
- Spectators are permitted, seating available around the pool and on the observation deck.
- Please limit the number of items you bring. Towels and personal items must be kept in your locker, which requires a £1 token available for purchase at reception.
- We have towels to purchase In The Wave Shop at a cost of £6.00 each.
- The spa pool, indoor spa, flumes, lazy river, cannons and wave machine will be operational.
- During extremely busy period we may have to implement use of our Wristband system, which will restrict swimming to two-hour time slots.
- Height requirements to use water slides - over 1.1 metres.
- Unfortunately, the use of snorkel masks/full face covering masks, fins and mermaid tails are not permitted during normal operational hours.
The Wave Shop
You can buy swimwear, swimming accessories, and anything you might need relating to the water at reception!
Towels: Please note: You cannot hire towels from the Blue Lagoon but towels can be purchased from the Wave shop at a small cost. Please visit the pool reception for more information.
Pool Lockers: Please note: All lockers take tokens or £1 coins. Tokens are sold at the pool reception.
The Blue Lagoon Supervision Policy:
Adults aged 18 or over can supervise 2 children between the ages of 4 and 7 or one child under the age of 4.
Children aged 0-3 require 1:1 supervision in the water & facility at all times.
Children aged 4-7 require 2:1 supervision in the water & facility at all times.
Children aged 8-11 require an adult in the building.
Children aged 12+ no adult required. However, they swim at their own risk.
Families who fall out of the supervision policy will need to sign a disclaimer to state that they will abide by our policy and stay in the Nippers Cove pool (Designated Safe Area). If more than 1 adult in the group, they can use the main pool as long as they stay within the policy e.g. 2x adults and 3x children under 4 – one adult can take one child into the main pool, one at a time as long as the other adult is staying in Nippers with the other children whilst they are still out of supervision.
