After decorating your egg during the day, guests return to the Village for the eggstreme rolling adventure. No Easter would be complete without the Treasure Hunt and with a special version held for Under 5's, it's the ideal activity for all ages to join in with.

Beautiful Bluebells

Every Spring our ancient woodland is taken over by beautiful bluebells and the Easter holidays are the perfect time to enjoy them. Like a brilliant carpet across the forest floor, the violet-blue flowers create a spectacular visual feast that you can enjoy while talking a walk along the Nature Trail - perfect if you have green fingers and want a closer look. Why not stop for a drink at Camp Smokey at the end of your walk?

Remember to stay on the path during your walk as bluebells are a protected species and it's against the law to intentionally pick, uproot or destroy them. At Bluestone we work had to protect and cultivate these wild flowers, so guests can continue to enjoy them for years to come. You can learn more about this special flower at Ranger HQ during your visit or ask one of our Free Rangers.

Ancient Tales

Just like the rest of Bluestone, bluebells have their own mythic history. Over half of the world's bluebells grow in the UK and only appear in ancient woods and forests that date back to at least 1600. One of the most beloved native flowers, the first bluebell is believed to have appeared in the UK after the last ice age and while they might look pretty - they haven't always been loved. Also known as "fairy flowers", an ancient myth claims fairies used bluebells to capture unsuspecting passer-bys - especially children!
